Survival Fishing and Trapping
Dates: May 30th, 9:00 AM – June 1st, 12:00 PM
Location: Exeter, Illinois (Exact location provided upon enrollment)

In a wilderness emergency, finding food can be one of the most critical—and challenging—tasks. This Survival Hunting and Trapping course, is designed to teach you essential survival skills for fishing, trapping, and food gathering along water sources. Gain the confidence and knowledge you need to sustain yourself during outdoor adventures and unexpected situations.
Course Overview:
Held on private land beside a creek, this hands-on class will take you through key techniques such as improvised fishing, trapping, and wilderness food gathering. Participants will hike on medium to difficult terrain to gather materials and may wade in water up to waist-deep. This is a hike-in camping experience, suitable for tents, hammocks, or tarp shelters. Be prepared to clear your site of debris before setting up.
Amenities on-site include a community campfire for cooking and cleaning, a camp latrine with a hand-washing station, and access to drinking and wash water. If attendance is high, we will enjoy a “Mountain Man” Breakfast on Sunday morning and a short, voluntary prayer service to wrap up the course.
